Natural values

The idea to connect existing hiking trails and campsites and form one long hiking route across Estonia was born already in 2000. Today this idea has grown into a network of hiking routes enjoyed by many local and foreign nature enthusiast every year.

Together with the new route that will be finished nest year, the network will offer over 2000 km of hiking fun, giving an opportunity to get to know every nook and corner of Estonia.

The hiking route passes by many beautiful and interesting landscapes. Untouched nature conservation areas alternate with forestry areas, village roads with wild and norrow footpaths. One can see the know and the unkonwn face of Estonia, passing by also our most precious places like the highest hill Suur Munamägi, Ontika Limestone Cliff on the North coast, Peraküla singing sand beach, the deepest Estonian lake Rõuge Suurjärv, internationally famous abandoned Rummu quarry, primeval valley of Piusa River with the highest sandstone outcrops in Estonia, vast bog areas of Soomaa National Park and the reforestation areas of old oil shale quarries in Eastern Estonia.
