100 stories from the hiking route

Estonia is a country of forest and the life of estonians has always in some ways been connected to it. RMK has mapped 100 important and interesting events - 100 cultural objects - by the RMK Hiking Route, that have taken place during the 100 years the Republic of Estonia has existed. These are events that have shaped the life of our people on country, community and individual levels.

Among these cultural objects there those that talk about important cultural events, some about wars and occupations, others tell the tale of Estonian forestry, but some are humorous events that have happened to the local people. 

In 2018 the locations where these events have taken place will be marked with information boards. Additional information can also be found on this webpage.
